The Bellefontaine City Youth Soccer Association is governed by an autonomous Board that meets once a month before the season and as needed during the season. Our season runs from August - October.

U7 - Boys Teams and Girls Teams - For Children born in 2017, 2018, & 2019
U9 - Co-ed Teams - For Children born in 2015 & 2016
U11 - Co-ed Teams - For Children born in 2013 & 2014
U14 - Co-ed Teams - For Children born in 2010 (Non-HS), 2011, & 2012
Travel County Soccer - For Children in Grades 6, 7, & 8

Games are played at Southview Park - 601 West Lake - Bellefontaine & Blue Jacket Park - 900 Ludlow - Bellefontaine

Skills Assessments for all players in the U9 & U11 divisions will occur on Thursday, July 25th at Southview Park (Rain Date July 26th). If you would like to petition to move your child up an age group, please email Tim Hales at thales@ci.bellefontaine.oh.us to fill out a petition form.

Important 2024 Dates
- LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR SOCCER SUNDAY, JULY 21, 2024

- Skills Assessment for all players in U9 & U11 is Thursday, July 25, 2024. U9 players with the last name A - K will go from 6:00pm-6:30pm. U9 players with the last name L - Z will go from 6:30pm-7:00pm. U11 players with the last name A - K will go from 7:00pm-7:30pm. U11 players with the last name L - Z will go from 7:30pm-8:00pm.

- There is no Skills Assessment for players in the U7 division. Teams will be assigned randomly instead of being drafted by coaches.

- Travel Team tryouts for children who are entering Grades 6, 7, or 8 are scheduled for Wednesday, July 24th. Tryouts will be held at TBA from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Optional open fields for any player in Grades 6, 7, or 8 will occur from 6:00pm-7:30pm at the TBA on June 25th, June 27th, July 9th, July 11th, July 16th and July 18th.

- The rain date for the Travel Team tryouts will be held on July 26th at 6:00PM.

- Any child that attends for the Travel Team and does not make the team will automatically be placed into the U14 Division and the parent/guardian will be refunded the difference in fees.

- Practices begin the week of August 5th for all teams. Parents will be notified by coaches with information regarding first practices, and parent team meetings after the Coaches Draft which will be held on August 1st.

General Information

Minimum age - must be 5 years old or turning 5 years old in 2024 to play soccer.
Soccer will conflict with Middle School Fall Sports.
Our Leagues are Co-Ed except for U7.
U7 uses a Size 3 ball. U9 and U11 use a Size 4 ball. U14 & Travel use a Size 5 ball.
Players do not need to provide their own ball to be on a team.
Players will need to provide their own shin guards and cleats. Game socks are included with the uniform.
All Players will be drafted to a team.
Coaches will call players with practice dates and times.
Our coaches are mostly parent volunteers. Please consider volunteering to coach, it's highly rewarding and a chance to develop children into future high school soccer players.
