Boys Basketball will have the following programs for 2025-2026
Little Dribblers - Grades Kindergarten and 1st Grade (Three practice dates 11/10,11/17,11/24, (Practice times will be 7pm to 8 pm). Boy's Basketball will practice in BHS main gym followed by a showcase game during the halftime of the BHS Girls Varsity Basketball Game on 12/3 vs Northwestern.)
2nd and 3rd grade Rec League (Practices occur Thursdays & Saturdays beginning on 11/13. Kids will practice together until Thanksgiving break. After Thanksgiving, kids will begin practicing with their teams. Games begin Saturday, December 13th, 2025. The final games will occur on January 31st, 2026. (No games will occur on 12/27 and 1/3).
*Priority registration priority will be given to children who attend Bellefontaine City Schools for the 2nd & 3rd grade Rec League*
4th, 5th, 6th Grade Rec Basketball Program. (Practices occur on Wednesdays and Saturday beginning on 11/12. No activities the week of Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving, kids will begin practicing with their teams. Games begin Saturday, December 13th, 2025. The final games will occur on January 31st, 2026. (No games will occur on 12/27 and 1/3).
4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Travel teams playing in Miami Valley League (Tryout Required).
Open Gyms: Any 4th, 5th, or 6th Grader who would like to try out for any of the MVL teams are invited to attend both open gym sessions prior to tryouts.
4th Grade: November 3rd from 5:00 pm to 6:30pm at Bellefontaine Elementary School and November 5th from 6:30 pm to 8 pm at Bellefontaine Intermediate School.
5th Grade:11/3 and 11/6 at Bellefontaine Elementary School from 6:30 pm to 8 pm
6th Grade: 11/3 at Bellefontaine Intermediate School from 6:30 pm to 8 pm and 11/5 at Bellefontaine Elementary School from 6:30 pm to 8 pm.
Tryout Dates:
4th Grade
11/10 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Bellefontaine Elementary School and 11/12 from 6:30 pm to 8 pm at Bellefontaine Intermediate School.
5th Grade: November 10th from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. Bellefontaine Elementary School and
November 13th from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. Bellefontaine Elementary School
6th Grade: 11/11- 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at the Bellefontaine High School Aux Gym and
11/13- 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm Bellefontaine High School Aux Gym
*Anyone who tryouts for a Miami Valley League team and does not make it will automatically be transferred to the 4th, 5th, 6th Grade Rec program and refunded the cost difference in registration fees.*
