Bellefontaine Girls Youth Softball Association is excited to offer the following age groups for the 2026 season, they are listed below.
Registration for 2026 is based on how old your child is how old your child is as of August 31, 2025 (USA Softball Rule, Click Here to view the age chart).
Games Played in the City:
- Soft Tee: Ages 5 and 6
- 8U: Ages 7 and 8
- 13U/14U
Games Played in the County
- 10U: Ages 9 and 10
- 12U: Ages 11 and 12
Important Registration Details:
- The last day to register for Girls Youth Softball is March 5th, 2026.
- For age groups 10U, 12U a copy of your child’s birth certificate is required to participate in County games.
Open Gym Sessions:
Open gym sessions will be available for 10U-12U players before the Skills Assessment. These sessions are optional and provide an opportunity to practice hitting, fielding, and throwing.

- 10U- 8:00 AM-9:00 AM
- 12U- 9:00 AM-10:00 AM
Mandatory Player Skills Assessment:
All players in age groups 10U-12U are required to attend the Player Skills Assessment on Saturday March 7th, 2026 at Bellefontaine High School Auxiliary Gym. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled start time.
Assessment Times:
- 10U: 10:00 AM-11:00 AM
- 12U: 11:15 AM-12:15 PM

Players will receive a two-button jersey, and socks included with their registration fee. Players will need to provide their own black softball pants, batting helmet (with facemask) and fielding facemask.
