Bellefontaine Girls Youth Basketball 2026-2027
Girls Basketball will have the following programs for 2026-2027
Little Dribblers - Grades Kindergarten and 1st Grade. Girls will have 3 practice dates followed by a showcase game during the halftime of the BHS Boys Varsity Basketball Game.
2nd and 3rd grade Rec League- Any 2nd or 3rd graders who would like to participate will complete a skills assessment. Skills assessments will be completed in the beginning of November. Practice will start following the skills assessments. 2nd and 3rd grade teams practice once a week.
*Priority registration priority will be given to children who attend Bellefontaine City Schools for the 2nd & 3rd grade Rec League*
4th, 5th, 6th Grade Rec Basketball Program- The 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Rec Basketball program will be hosted by the YMCA. This is a great opportunity for rec athletes to play against other local schools. Registration can be completed through the YMCA portal. Registration will open in a couple of weeks. We will update the link to the registration portal here when it is live.
4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Travel- Teams play in the Miami Valley League (Tryout Required).
Open Gyms: Any 4th, 5th, or 6th Grader who would like to try out for any of the MVL teams are invited to attend either of the two open gym sessions prior to tryouts. Open gym dates will be the week of October 26th, 2026.
Two tryout sessions will be the week of November 2nd, 2026.
The first week of practice will be the week of November 9th, 2026. MVL teams will practice 2 days per week.
*Anyone who tryouts for a Miami Valley League team and does not make it will automatically be refunded registration fees and are encouraged to register on the YMCA portal to participate in the 4th, 5th, 6th Grade Rec program.*
